I agree with Melville because he comments about the pollution that the trains make but I also don’t agree with Melville because he also comments about how going slow is better. I would have to disagree with him because when I travel I like to get there.
Now I think that computer’s influence all aspects of American life.

Native American DBQ

Evidence will show that the people who had the best inserts tat heart for the native Americas in the late 19th century were really doing the worst thing for the native Americans at the time. This is proven by the fact that the government contained the Native Americans, trying to civilize them, and lastly by trying to do different things but they really only ended up killing the native Americans.
The government has contained the Native Americas so much, according to document D, the government allotted land to the native Americans by age or if they had a family or not. The Native Americans didn’t like this because the land was given in places that they didn’t like very much and because they were used to being nomadic to get their recourses. So containing a family to “one-Quarter of a section” isn’t a good thing.
The US Government also thinks that they were doing the right thing for the Indians, by Americanizing them. According to document H the government wanted to set up schools and part of a government that included laws and other things also. They also wanted the white men to settle in with the Indians. Some other proof that the Government was trying to Americanize the Indians is in Document I, “ if it were to attempt to crush out from those who are of Indian Descent all the racial traits which differentiate the North American Indian from the other race stocks of the world.” What Richardson is saying there is that its good to have culture and that by trying to Americanize that Indians we are losing that culture.
According to document B, “the whit man wants to ice in peace with the Indian…” Which would to most people would mean not killing them they did kill the Idains in the many massacres. Even thought some may want to live in peace with the Indians it’s not the general consensus. This is because according to Document F, a “department from henceforth deny top Indians the right to carry arms or ammunition off their reservations.” This just proves that the “white men” don’t trust the Indians, so then the Indians won’t trust the white men so they won’t be in peace so eventually they will fight and one of the many massacres will happen.
All In All as one can see the Government is doing the worst for the Indians by the people who have their best interest at heart. The history probably would have turned out better if people had just strayed out of the Indian case and let them live their own life.
